About Wendee
I have a degree in Interior Design and was an employee of my Mom's wallpapering business for many years. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and spent my summers in the dairy lands of Wisconsin, needless to say I love dirt and fresh air! I am married with two kids and we have lived in Maple Valley since 1995 . I graduated from Highline Community College in Des Moines WA and interned at Rodda Paint Company. I had various design and display jobs and in 1994 I opened my own business Versatile Designs. I worked as a freelance display designer at the Seattle Gift Center for 10 years before making my final plunge into full time sole propietorship.
Having my own business allows me the opportunity to be with my kids when they need me and have the abliliy to create incredible interiors for my clients.
Design is a very strong passion of mine and making someone's space reflect who they are gives me tremendous joy. My clientele include The Avalon Clinic in Tacoma , Mama Passarelli's in Black Diamond, Edward Jones in Lake Wilderness Village and 103.7 The Mountain--they were broadcasting live, interviewing me as I worked in the studio (no pressure)!
